Just yesterday, I sang (with others) to a bunch of children who celebrated the Summer Solistice.  Each kid made a sun mask that symbolized how they can let their light out.......And it made me happy.  I love the idea of encouraging children to let their light out.  Their unique, brilliant and unusual talents not only want to emerge but need encouragement.  They need that gentle suggestion that this world will support them and become a place that really values them. 

Being on the radio as a featured guest is fun.  Maybe that sounds like a "no brainer' but many authors shy away from radio.  The radio to me is a terrific way to connect with readers who don't necessarily watch television or find themseleves in the car in the morning. 

Some of the featured sayings from my book, 365 Perfect Things to Say to Your Kids that I shared were: 

Just yesterday, I was walking and talking with a friend.  She then turned to me and a flood of tears poured down her face.  Tears afterall are the words the heart cannot say.  She (let's call her Jill) couldn't express her loss of her 2 dogs last year, the reality that she needed to donate their dog bowls now and let them emotionally go.

Maureen: Some of the major challenges are lack of time, lack of assistance and lack of understanding the complexity of their lives as working mothers.
